RRANZ recognises that access to high-quality applied CIMS function training varies across the rohe. We want to ensure those stepping up to assist during emergencies can access professional training to build capability and confidence in emergency management.
The course are suitable for any organisation, agency or local government team using CIMS.
What’s our training material based on?
Intelligence, Planning, Logistics, and Operations are based on unit standards and NEMA sponsored national training packages.
Welfare, Safety, and Recovery have been designed by RRANZ experts informed by sector participants, prior training materials and in the case of Safety, Australian unit standards.
PIM is informed by national capability projects, prior training materials and individual experts.
Why are the course prices different?
The development costs for the courses built as part of the national training package project have already been covered. For the other courses, RRANZ contributors have invested significantly in development. Currently only some courses have unit standard assessments and so marking costs also vary across them.
What can I expect in the course?
Interactive sessions that build familiarity with the key tools and processes applicable to each function.
