Designed to build the skills and confidence of communication professionals tasked with operating in the PIM function in an emergency response.
Based on the new national Public Information Management (PIM) course and led by expert facilitator, Michele Poole, this interactive activity-based 2-day course will cover key concepts and tools and give you practice using them.
Are there any prerequisites?
- An understanding of CIMS. This can be either CIMS unit standards (or equivalent) or sufficient work experience to demonstrate this understanding.
- Completion of Level 4 Knowledge of Public Information Management. This course is accessible free of charge on Takatu (the learning management system for the emergency management sector accessible via a REALMe login). A link to a short assessment will be sent when all modules are complete.
