Planning an exercise this year?

From the Knowledge Hub of the Australian Institute for Disaster Resilience, the recently released “Exercise Management Handbook” and companion guides is a useful resource  covering the design, planning, conduct, and evaluation of EM exercises. It is designed for any organisation (e.g. government, business, not-for profit) or community group, as well as providing guidance to emergency management organisations.

Unlock Your potential with an IAEM scholarship

Applications are now open for the 2024 Interrnational Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM) scholarships.
They are seeking students who are enrolled in a tertiary qualification in emergency management or closely related field, who demonstrate not only academic excellence but also a strong commitment to contributing to the emergency management sector. You do not need to be a current IAEM member to apply.

Napier City Council response to Cyclone Gabrielle Review

RRANZ Facilitator, Tracy Hatton from Resilient Organisations, worked with the Napier City Council to review their emergency response to Cyclone Gabrielle. The Council’s genuine willingness to understand the dynamics of their response, and desire to make changes to ensure these lessons are addressed is encouraging.
